MTG Commander Deck Intelligence

DeckLab analyzes Magic: The Gathering Commander decks and provides power level ratings based on the official Wizards of the Coast bracket guidelines.

What It Does

  • Bracket Rating — Upload a deck, get an official power level bracket (1-4)
  • Weakness Analysis — Identifies what your deck struggles against
  • Strategic Insights — AI-powered suggestions for how your deck plays
  • Commander Context — Analysis considers your commander's strategy

How It Works

Paste your decklist or import from popular deck-building sites. DeckLab parses your cards, cross-references them against the WotC bracket criteria, and uses Claude to provide nuanced analysis that goes beyond simple card counting.

The AI doesn't just look at individual cards — it considers synergies, your commander's strategy, and how the deck likely plays out in actual games.

Why I Built It

When Wizards of the Coast introduced the bracket system for Commander, everyone had the same question: "What bracket is my deck?" The official guidelines are helpful but subjective. I wanted a tool that could give a reasonable starting point for that conversation.

Plus, I play Commander and wanted to understand my own decks better. Building DeckLab taught me as much about the format as it did about AI-assisted development.

Current Status

DeckLab is live and in beta. The core analysis works well, and I'm actively improving the bracket accuracy based on community feedback.

If you play Commander and want to help test it, I'd love to hear from you. Real-world feedback from actual players is invaluable.

"What bracket is my deck?" Finally, an answer.
